Working with data collected from our competition engine builders and extensive computer modeling, Reed has engineered this special Stroker HP series to extract every possible ounce of power from the stroker engine in your Hot Rod. The Stroker HP series is available for most popular Chevy, Ford & Chrysler small and big block applications. These are absolutely the highest Quality hydraulic flat tappet cam & lifter kits available on the market today. It also comes with Moly Lube for your break in protection.

SHP286/292

An excellent choice for street power. This is a great starting point for powering your 377+ CID stroker engine. Recommend heads with 175cc intake runners, high-rise dual plane intake w/spacer, 10:1 comp, 2400 conv, headers and 3.73:1 gear. Aggressive idle.

 

SHP286/294

Street is a relative term for this cam. This is a great starting point for powering your 482+ CID stroker engine. Recommend heads with 300cc intake runners, high-rise dual plane intake, 10:1 comp, 2200 conv, headers & 3.73:1 gear. Aggressive idle.

SHP290/296

If you want to wake the neighbors when you start your hot rod, this is the cam. Great choice for a 377+ CID engine w/aftermarket heads in the 180/200cc range w/port work. Recommend single plane intake, 750 carb, 10.5:1 comp, 2800 conv, headers & 3.73:1 gear. Very aggressive idle. 

 

SHP290/298

OK, forget the manners, this is where it starts to get nasty. Excellent mid range power for a 495+ CID engine w/aftermarket heads in the 300cc range. Recommend high-rise single plane intake & spacer, 10:1 comp, 2400 conv, 1 3/4” headers & 4.10:1 gear. Aggressive idle.

SHP294/300

Pure power from this fella at midrange and top end. The choice for a 350+ CID engine w/aftermarket heads in the 200cc range. Recommend modified 750 carb, air gap intake, 10.5:1 comp, 2800 conv, headers w/hi-flow mufflers & 4.10:1 gear. Very aggressive idle.

 

SHP294/302

Running NOS, you need this cam in your 495+ CID engine. Strong mid to high range power with mild ported heads with big valves. Recommend high-rise single plane intake, 850 carb,10.5:1 comp, 2600 conv, 1 3/4” headers & 3.73:1 gear. Very aggressive idle.

SHP298/304

This cam is not for the mild of heart. Excellent choice for a 383+ CID engine w/aftermarket iron or alum heads in the 200-215cc range. Recommend HP or modified 750 carb, air gap intake, 10.5:1 comp, 3200 conv, 1 3⁄4” headers w/hi-flow mufflers & 4.10:1 gear. Super aggressive idle.  

 

SHP298/306

If you want to lay the rubber down, this is the cam for your 495+ CID engine w/ported aftermarket iron or alum heads w/big valves. Recommend high-rise single plane intake, 850 carb, 10.5:1 comp, 2800 conv, 1 7/8” headers w/hi-flow mufflers & 4.10:1 gear. Super aggressive idle.

SHP302/308

This is really the max cam for the street. Excellent choice for a 383+ CID engine w/aftermarket iron or alum heads in the 200-215cc range for street/strip use. Recommend HP or modified 750 carb, air gap intake, 10.5:1 comp, 3200 conv, 1 3⁄4” headers w/hi-flow mufflers & 4.10:1 gear. Super aggressive idle.  

 

SHP302/310

This one is a real screamer. Strong upper range power with ported aftermarket alum heads in the 300cc range. Recommend high-rise single plane intake & modified 850HP carb, 10.5:1+ comp, 3000 conv, 2”+ headers w/3”+ exhaust, 4.10+ gear. Nasty idle.

SHP306/312

If you want to terrorize the import crowd this is the cam. The ultimate stroker cam w/ported aftermarket heads 215cc+ & oversize valves. Recommend HP or modified 850 carb, air gap intake, 11.5:1 comp, 3400 conv, 1 3/4 ” headers w/hi-flow mufflers & 4.56:1 gear. A real thriller w/a 175 shot of NOS. Nasty idle.

 

SHP306/312

The bench racing stops here, this is one evil cam for your 495+ CID engine w/ported aftermarket iron or alum heads w/big valves. Recommend high-rise single plane intake, 950HP carb, 10.5:1+ comp, 3200 conv, 2”+ headers w/hi-flow mufflers & 4.10:1+ gear. A real “A” ticket ride w/a 175hp shot of NOS. Very nasty idle.

The name is Stroker HP, however, these cams are also suitable in many standard stroke applications.

These are the same premium cores used for our full competition Camshaft applications. The lifters are premium quality tappets and are 100 % made in the U.S.A. No imported components here! Compare the quality of the Stroker HP series  Cam & Lifter kits to what our competitors are offering at a comparable price. Spring pressures for these profiles are recommended to be 135# closed and 325# open. Matching Spring & Retainer kits are also available.
