The first combination of letters & numbers always pertain to the intake lobe. In this example, we have an SRA series roller profile on the intake that has an advertised duration of 297.
|
The second set of numbers, after the dash, pertain to the exhaust . In this case, we have an advertised duration of 302 and it is from the R-ULX series. |
The last set of numbers pertain to the lobe separation. Here the 8 means there is a lobe separation of 108 degrees. The "A" means there is advance built into the cam. The 3 means there is 3 camshaft degrees of advance built into the cam, this will total to 6 crankshaft degrees of advance, giving you an intake centerline of 102 & exhaust centerline of 114.
